Are you a parent-to-be considering using cloth diapers, but you just don't know where to start? Are you a parent of a child in single-use diapers, and you want a better alternative? Are you a parent of a child in cloth diapers, and you have some questions about your current diapering system? Then this workshop is for you!
This workshop is our attempt to provide parents with an opportunity to see the different available options, to ask questions, and to provide a forum for like-minded parents to mingle.
This workshop is an opportunity for you and your significant other to view cloth diapers 'in real life', and to ask any questions you might have. The following issues will be addressed:
- the benefits of using cloth diapers (covering environmental issues, health issues, and cost savings)
- overview of the basic types of diapers (prefolds, fitteds, pocket diapers, all-in-ones) and how to use them
- overview of what you need to get started
- storing / washing diapers
- cloth diapering at night
- cloth diapering on the go
- early infant potty training (yes, you read that right!)
Light snacks and beverages will be provided. It will be an informal, entertaining hour, and we would love to have you join us. Please e-mail us to reserve your spot (space is limited!). Please bring a canned/boxed food donation, you will receive a gift certificate for $10 at the workshop.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact us. Your are also welcome to stop by our store at 1131 Wellington Street W in Ottawa, Ontario to have a look at what's available...
To register, please e-mail us to confirm how many people will be attending (children welcome!).
